Master Classes

The Symphony Association also sponsors free master classes and workshops taught by its guest
artists as part of their commitment to perform with the Symphony. These two-hour classes
vary from intimate sessions with four to six musicians who perform selections critiqued by
individual guest artists, to lecture/performance sessions, to panel discussions including advice
on developing a performance career, to classes specifically designed to coach student ensemble
performers.

In addition to the students and their instructors, other musicians and the public are welcome
to attend the sessions free of charge. It’s a great opportunity to see our local young musicians,
whose talent and dedication to music are remarkable, interact with world-renowned musicians
and educators—and perhaps catch a preview of the artists in performance at the same time.
