Painted Violin Auction

Feb 07 - Mar 15, 2019

The Idaho State-Civic Symphony's Painted Violin Traveling Silent Auction will feature works by more than a dozen local artists, with proceeds to benefit the Idaho State-Civic Symphony Music Scholarship Funds.

15 violins.

15 artists.

15 unplayable instruments turned into pieces of art!

Three opportunities to bid!

In November, we launched the Painted Violin Project, requesting applications from local artists who were up for the challenge of transforming unplayable violins into works of art!  We had an incredible response and some spectacular results!

Now's your chance to have one of these treasured, one-of-a-kind pieces for yourself or a loved one!

And to support the Idaho State-Civic Symphony Music Scholarship Fund.

You have THREE opportunities to see these violins in-person, and to bid in our TRAVELING SILENT AUCTION!

The winning bids will be announced at our Acoustic Eidolon Concert on March 15th! You do not need to be present to win.

We hope to see you at the following locations on the following dates:
  • Friday, February 8 - Be My Valentine: An Evening of Jazz and Orchestra
    • ISU Stephens Performing Arts Center
  • Friday, March 1 - Pocatello First Friday Art Walk
    • Station Square - 200 S Main Street
  • Friday, March 15 - POPS Concert with Acoustic Eidolon
    • ISU Stephens Performing Arts Center
Students from Idaho State University will be on-hand at these locations to assist you in the process and answer any questions you may have, but if you have further questions, please contact the ISCS offices at 208-234-1587 or

The project is being generously sponsored by the F.M., Anne G., and Beverly B. Bistline Foundation within the Idaho Community Foundation.
