Volunteer League
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Idaho State-Civic Symphony. The Symphony is a world-class organization because of the assistance of volunteers, like you, who have put their hearts and minds into the organization throughout its history. Volunteers truly keep the music alive!
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play essential roles within the Seattle Symphony, and their work helps the Symphony maintain high levels of service to the general community. Current open volunteer positions include the following:
School Concerts
Usher student groups off buses to and from the Hall and direct groups as they arrive and depart these special concerts October 24th at 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
Education & Community Engagement
Assist with programs for families and students prior to the Family concert Saturday, October 29th at noon.
Fundraising/Special Events
Volunteer at many levels: address invitations, help with decorations and more. Fundraising volunteers are needed periodically at varying days and times.
Greeters
Our Greeter program provides an opportunity for our volunteers to interact directly with the patrons attending the concerts.
Leadership Positions
Assist committee chairs with events or begin preparations for serving on the ISCS Board of Directors. Weekly time commitment and dedication to the organization are necessary.
Membership Events
Events for the Idaho State-Civic Symphony Volunteer family vary each year but, at a minimum, include an Annual Luncheon and Volunteer Recognition Event.
Office Support
Provide essential office support and assistance to Symphony staff during the workday. Organize and maintain files, assist with mailings, input computer data and help with other clerical functions. Most office assistance is needed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Ushers
Assist in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center.
Coat Check
Assist prior to the concert, and remain available after the concert. All tips collected are yours.
We seek volunteers that are and will be committed to the success of the Symphony. For that reason, we require a minimum payment of $30 in annual dues (or $15 for senior citizens) to become a member of the Idaho State-Civc Symphony Volunteers (ISCSV) organization. All dues collected by the ISCS ultimately go to the Symphony.
ISCSV members receive invitations to all volunteer events. Members are eligible for one concert ticket per every six hours of volunteering.
